participates in Restoration Project held in Kirkland, (Seattle, WA) on Saturday, February 11th, 2012, sponsored by Seattle native band Pearl Jam and coordinated by Forterra.org. The Project involves the mitigation by Pearl Jam of their calculated carbon emissions during their 2009 tour, and aims to offset them by clearing invasive species and replacing them with native grown trees.

In a tragedy over the recent holidays,
A massive fire which claimed 1 life broke out in a large storage facility north of our hometown, Seattle (WA) on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th 2011). At least 12 bands of local, and hard working musicians had their rehearsal studios here. The fire and ensuing water damage from the firefighting effort affected them all, with 6 bands losing everything (gear, equipment, personal affects), and all suffering severe losses. Below is a link for a relief fund that ALL affected musicians will benefit from, as losses are tallied and valued.
A little goes a long way. If you are a musician, or know one, or hold music in your heart, you can help by checking out the site and exploring ways to help. Words are difficult to describe the loss, and we ThePeopleNow ask You the People to assist in ways that you can. Your Voice is your Music, and when words fail...Music Speaks.
